• What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country? The biggest difference is the language, of course. Their driving style is also different.

• What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country? I really like german food but i think the italian food is better. And the Italians are more social than the germans. Oh and of couse the weather in Italy is better.

• What do you think is better in your own country? I think the education system in Germany is better.

• What would be an obstacle to move into your host country? I would miss my family and my friends in Germany.

• What would be a reason for you to move to your host country? The way people live there. Everything seems to be really relaxed.

1. They speak a different language, but also their behaviour and their culture is different.

2. I love Italian food and the way the Italians behave. They are so friendly and not as strict as the Germans.

Hungary

• What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country ? 

• The biggest difference is the language of course. In Italy people speak Italian, in my country we speak Hungarian. Italian people are more temperamental, they speak more loudly and I think they are much more friendly.

• What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

• Italy has sea-coasts and I think it is very attractive. Another big advantage is that the roads are in better conditions than in Hungary. In Italy people have siesta time, when they can sleep in the afternoon.

• What do you think is better in your own country?

• I like the Hungarian national customs more than the Italian ones. Hungarian dishes are more delicious than the dishes we ate in Italy. They always eat pastas with tomato sauce. The Hungarian education is stricter and more developed I think.

• What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

• First of all, I can't speak Italian. Secondly I would miss my family and my friends. The accommodation could be a problem too and I don’t know anybody there except a few students.

• What would be a reason for you to move to your host country?

• The Italian buildings are very beautiful, I am fond of the Colosseum and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. People are very friendly and kind there. The living standard is higher than in my country. I love the Italian sunny beaches and the lively night-life.

• Accordintg to you - what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

• The foreign language is the main problem I think. It is hard to find a well-paid job in another country. It is hard to integrate into a foreign country because of the different customs of the nations.

Hungarian Student 1

 

1. I think the education system is the biggest difference. It was very strange for me that Saturday was a school day as well and that they had to go to school much later. Another big difference is that public areas are much more polluted.
2. I think it is better for Italian students to have much more time than we do. They spend a lot of time with their friends and they are much nicer.
3. My country is quieter and cleaner. Education is much better. I think Hungarian food is better than Italian food.
4. There would be many obstacles. The Italian lifestyle is very strange for me. It would be hard to get used to it. For me, Italian food did not taste so much. Car traffic is just horrible.
5. Italy’s weather is better, so it would be the reason and perhaps the beach.

• I think the biggest difference is the richness. The other difference is in educational system and more people live in Italy since the country is much bigger.

• In my opinion Italy has a great advantage: it has a sea. The weather is better Italy, because it has Mediterranean climate.

• Hungary is safer. Hungary has an excellent cuisine.

• The biggest obstacle would be the language, I have never learned Italian before, so it would be very hard. The other difficulty would be to get used to their lifestyle.

• Life is better, salary is higher and there are higher living standards.

• As far as I am concerned the language and the different living conditions.

The biggest difference between Italy and Hungary is that while the Italian government support migrants’ immersion, Hungary fights against uncontrolled migration.

I think what is much better is that Italian people are much kinder and more liberated than Hungarian people.

I think in my county the education is better because in Italy the students have to go to school for six days while in Hungary we need to go just for five days.

I think the language would obstacle me to move to Italy.

I think the atmosphere and the sea would be my reason why I would move to my host country.

I think the main difficulties for integration is the perfect understanding of language.

I think, the biggest difference is the traffic, maybe the drivers.

I could never learn the language.

The sea is near and the places are wonderful, maybe this is the most important thing for me, because I was so happy there.

As a child, it's very hard to integrate into a new community, among many new people, and move to a foreign city/country, where everything and everyone is different from what you are accustomed to. In addition, you have to learn a completely different language.

What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

The largest difference is in the everyday life. For example, we don’t take a nap and we don’t walk in the evenings into the city, while they do.

What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

I think that the people are more straightforward with each other. Everybody knows everybody in my town.

My opinion is that it is right in our country, that we live more organised than they do.

What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

I think the traffic is not organized and this there may be an obstacle.

My reason would be that I like the idea of the afternoon nap and the foods are very delicious.

In my opinion the difficulties would be the language, because I should learn Italian.

Dutch Student

• The eating habits are very different in holland. We have dinner at about 6 o'clock and they have dinner at 8 o'clock. We eat bread or something similar in the afternoon and they eat again a whole meal most of the time pasta or pizza.
•  In Holland it is very clean, but in Italy there is a lot of waste on the streets.
• The language is very hard.
• The weather and the food are pretty good.
• The different culture and the language would be an obstacle.

What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country ? 

The only difference is the language but is not a problem because the Spanish and the Italian are to quite similar, they speak a lot as us and they are also too friendly 

 

 

What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

That in Andria they know each other and they meet like every night of the week, they are very friendly, and they have a lot of sea-coasts. The Italian food is the best I’ve ever tasted.

That there is more free to go were you want cause is a small city so you can go walking to each part of the city, and meet with all the friends.

It wouldn’t be any obstacle to move there because I love that city and his people too.

To have fun, to be with friends to have vacations and to eat a lot.

For me there are no difficulties for integrate into a foreign country, the only little problem would be to find a job but that’s all.

• The main difference is food and the way they drive. Food is very different, more pizza and pasta everyday than we are used to.

• Definitely food, it is tastier and different, and they always have some food for you.

• I would say the place where it is, it is close to a big city like Barcelona, where there are many things to do and is very easy to go there by public transport.

• Finding a job, other obstacles would be a very easy thing to solve, like language, which I understand and speak a little bit.

-I think the biggest difference between Italy and Spain is the food and  the way They  live there, they have like more freedom to do what they want because they life in a small town and they now each other.

- in general i prefer the lifestyle of Andria, but what i prefer about my country is my school.

- i think that the obstacle that i have to move there is the money and my family, a part from that i don’t have any problem to move there to live.

-  i think that the main difficulties are language, because sometimes is quite difficult to understand, but in general i think is not a problem, we can learn their language as their learn our language
