Impressions of Spain

    • What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country ?

I think that Italy and Spain are very similar, but the school is different because they don’t go to school on Saturday, they have more breaks and they get home at 16.00. They also have different habits in the afternoon and in the evening; in fact they don’t usually go out everyday and they don’t back home late.

    • What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

I think that the Spanish school is better than Italian school because it is a private school with a lot of spaces and it is organized better. But also the Spanish streets are cleaner than ours.

    • What do you think is better in your own country?

Obviously the food, because Italian food is the best in the world.

    • What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

I think that the biggest obstacle is the need of my family and my friends because I would miss them.. The language wouldn’t be a big problem because is similar.

    • What would be a reason for your to move to your host country?

The people are very friendly  and funny, the weather is quite good (it is similar to ours) and I would gladly go in Spain for the holidays.

    • According to you, what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

Maybe the language could be a difficulty..but as I have already wrote it isn’t very different  so  I think that you could integrate quite well.

    • What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

    • What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

One of the biggest differences is the size, my country is much smaller than Spain.

In Spain there are much more facilities and there more people live than in

    Hungary.

    • What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

The living conditions are better, people earn more money, they are often calmer.

    • What do you think is better in your own country?

The meals are much better, people are friendlier and more helpful because it is a small and cohesive country.

    • What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

Distance between me and my family and it would be difficult to accustomed/get used to the new customs and the living conditions.

More facilities and higher salary. Personally, I am a really adventurous person so I want to explore more and more places so that's way I would move to my host country.

    • According to you what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

I find the language difficult and faster. In My host country unemployment is really common. The Spanish have quite interesting dishes.

     Hungarian Student 4

I think the biggest difference between my host country and my own country is the language. I felt some other differences too. I was in Spain and for example the weather was better and the people were nicer.

I loved the sea in Barcelona because I live in Hungary and unfortunately we haven’t got one. But Hungary is more peaceful and calmer. I can’t say any obstacles why I don’t want to move to Spain, because it is a beautiful country and I love it so much. Maybe, the Spanish language would be the problem. I have made there a lot of new friends and I have more possibilities for entertainment.

I think the integration wouldn’t be so difficult, but their food is strange, but good and when somebody wants to move to Spain, he has to learn Spanish, because the older generation can’t speak English.

All in all, it was a wonderful trip and I would like to go back in the future.

    Italy

What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country ?

Personally I haven’t noticed a lot of differences between my own country and my host country. But, what I can say about it is that certainly the main difference is the political organization, because Spain is a parliamentary monarchy, instead of Italy which is a constitutional republic. There are also some other little differences like the types of food and the way of people behave and respect the common rules, mostly the driving rules. However our lifestyles are quite similar.

What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

According to me Spain is better organized than Italy for a lot of aspects. For example the school system, that is very well-organized: they have more breaks that enable the students to be more concentrated during the lessons and to keep contact with their similar; they also have a lot of opportunities like trips and outdoor projects that represent a way to learn something and to have fun at the same time. What is more public transports and services are more useful and accessible to everyone.

What do you think is better in your own country?

Despite the Spanish food is very delicious, it isn’t as sublime as the Italian food, which the best in the world. Also our school is envied by every country for our cultural preparation, which is better than the others.

What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

As I have said first, according to our lifestyles there aren’t a lot of differences between Spain and Italy. That is why the only obstacle could be to get used to the newness, like political organization and different rules. And also, of course, the lack of your relation with family and friends.

What would be a reason for you to move to your host country?

From my point of view travel experiences are always the best way to improve your personal culture. So, getting used to new habits and new lifestyles could be a way to appreciate more what are the peculiarities and the wealths of your own country.

According to you - what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

I think that this is a difficult point which is related to the person, but we could think about some common sights. Firstly the language barrier, that could be the main problem for foreign people. But also we could think about the way to put your roots in a new country with new rules, new habits and new people. In my case the biggest difficulty has been the last one, in fact the language barrier is not a huge problem.

What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

There are not a lot of differences I think. In my opinion Spain and Italy are almost the same.

What do you think is better in your host country than is your own country?

    Maybe less polluted.

What do you think is better in your own country?

Spanish food is great, but, I think, Italian one is something special. The weather is milder than Spanish one.

What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

    No obstacle.

What would be a reason for your to move to your host country?

I do not need to move to Spain. I would go to Spain for the hoidays.

According to you-what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

The language, but Spanish and Italian are almost the same. Anyway, integration could be easier to realise if you learn the host language previously.

    Italy:

    • What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

They are pretty similar: lifestyle is similar, hobbies are similar, habits and language too.

    • What do you think is better in your host country than is your own country?

I loved the Spanish school-system: Spanish schools are very well-organized and educative. Everything goes in the right way.

    • What do you think is better in your own country?

Maybe our schools are more strict than theirs and here friend relationships are more sentimental because we are used to do a lot of things together and share ideas and problems each other.

    • What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

Maybe the lack of the family and the fear of the unknown.

    • What would be a reason for your to move to your host country?

I love travelling and improving my own culture by learning something about foreign traditions and habits.

    • According to you-what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

Surely the fact that we are too much lively, so for people who are not very talkative or friendly it will be difficult to do. But Spanish guys did it well. I'm conscious that it is complicated, so that's the reason why i'm so proud of them. Of course all of us has this difficulty: integrate is hard but this is one of the aims of this project, so lets do it!

    • What is the biggest difference between your host country and your own country?

I think Italy and Spain are pretty similar, and so are their people. The biggest difference are the eating habits, especially talking about the typical dishes they eat.

    • What do you think is better in your host country than in your own country?

I think Spanish school is better because it allows you to have a lot of free time, more than we have in Italy.

    • What do you think is better in your own country?

We have better food and a better lifestyle too. In addition to it, my town is smaller than the Spanish one, and that allows me to go everywhere walking.

    • What would be an obstacle to move into your host country?

I think I'd have no obstacles: as I wrote, the two nations are similar to each other. Language wouldn’t be a problem too, because I'm good at English, I can speak a little bit of Spanish and I can understand it.

    • What would be a reason for your to move to your host country?

I would move to Spain just in order to learn a different language and a different kind of lifestyle.

    • According to you-what are the main difficulties for integration into your host country?

I think the main difficulty is language. Spanish people are welcoming, but a lot of them (especially older ones) don't know any foreign languages.
