Regulations
The Europian Union and the member countries have a lot of regulations and laws, how to handle with migrants and refugees. The most important document for refugees is the so-called Dublin Regulation. But there is also the Refugee Convention of the UNHCR, that tells you something about the status and the rights of refugees.
The Dublin Procedure explains how to deal with refugees, that come to Europe. The second important document is the Geneva Refugee Convention of the United Nations.
If you are a refugee and you are looking for information, what you have to do after you have arrived in Europe, you will find a lot of information here.
In 1951 the United Nations approved the Refugee Convention, that defines who is a refugee and who has the right to get asylum. It also the explains, what the countries have to do, to help the refugees.
There are also regulations for non-refugees who want to migrate to the European Union, looking for a job or to become a citizen in one of the member states.
