Today the topic discussed in the meetings with colleagues was evaluation. From the 7th to the 8th grade, 1st and 2nd grades of the Belgian secondary school, there is no place for retention, functioning as a cycle.
The evaluation criteria are not uniformly defined. However, some teachers, for their guidance and justification of the assigned assessment, apply, on their own initiative, some criteria.
There is no Council responsible for pedagogical matters. This absence is felt as a failure on the part of the professors, since they feel some disorientation due to the lack of superior guidelines.
The most used instrument to assess is the written test (control). There are three moments of summative evaluation in which evaluation records (bulletins) are prepared that are very similar to ours.
