Contrary to what happens with us, students change rooms after 50 minutes, as students need to release energy and not be sitting for so long listening to the same class. The classrooms are themed so that the teacher maintains the material of his discipline.
Cell phone use is prohibited throughout the school grounds. Backpacks are extremely light, as there are no manuals adopted here; each teacher creates and manages their materials. Publishers do not meet the needs of schools and the few manuals that exist are extremely expensive and parents would have to purchase them.
The 2nd language studied is English, with listening, vocabulary and writing activities being streamlined throughout the class. The English language has a workload of 4 hours per week. However, the school offers "Activitée" the options of English and Mathematics, Latin, Dutch, and each class can have a total of 9 hours of English, if students choose this option. These school offer hours are promoted as clubs with more fun activities.
