The course "New ways of learning developing creativity, motivation and curiosity", takes place in the Czech Republic, in the beautiful city of Kutná Hora, 80 km from Prague. Teacher Pedro Peixoto is the representative of our School. Although the group is composed of only 5 elements, it has the advantage of bringing together teachers from different subjects and all from different countries and education systems: Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic and Portugal.
The objective of the course is to present strategies that encourage teaching that goes beyond the formal curriculum, in a logic of combining interdisciplinarity with the reinforcement of the potential of each student. Every day, in the classroom or outside, it is necessary to try to meet the students' interests, going into the concrete of real life and their problems and everyday situations.
This first day of the course helped the group to get to know each other better, with each of the participants addressing their goals and expectations. We realize that our education systems have many differences, some abysmal (as in the issue of Inclusive education), but we all have something in common: the need to know and apply strategies that motivate students! At the end of this 1st day, we all agreed on one thing: you have to be creative, flexible and innovative... both in the classroom and outside!!!
