The day started with the motto of this course: the teacher takes the hand, opens the mind and touches the heart. This is what the teacher has to (try) to do with each of his students. Hard task? Of course! To achieve this, it is necessary to arouse the student's curiosity. In this training course, it is considered that part of the teaching and learning process has to take place outside the classroom. It can be in the playground, in the garden, in the forest... the important thing is to leave the space where students are used to having their classes.
According to the theory of Britta Brugge and Anders Szczepaanski, outdoor education is an educational approach that must be reinforced in schools, aiming at learning through experience and reflection based on concrete everyday situations, and which can be taken to effect in all subjects. It is necessary to enhance all five senses of students and lead them to discover (out there) what we want and think it is important for them to achieve at the end of the class. Through a greater connection with nature and the experiences of each student, the possibilities of fostering more flexible, fun, motivating and creative learning also increase.
