Main objectives of the course:
Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process of vision, creation and change to foster new ideas and creative solutions. Currently, it is crucial to support students in developing an entrepreneurial mindset. On the other hand, leadership skills and education can play an important role in the goal of fostering entrepreneurship in our students. This explains the growing trend to teach entrepreneurship, creative thinking and leadership in schools.
By participating in this course, participants will understand the main elements and principles that are related to entrepreneurship and leadership education and will have contact with concrete working methods, learning activities and educational games that they will be able to learn about in the course and, most importantly, , apply in the classroom or outside with your students.
This course aims to provide participants with the tools necessary to disseminate entrepreneurship and/or leadership strategies in their school, among their peers, or to integrate some of the acquired activities and learning approaches that promote an entrepreneurial mindset and assertiveness in the School of the 21st century.
The overall aim of this course is to promote excellence in education by enabling teachers, trainers, principals and other education staff to teach entrepreneurship and leadership, sharing best practices and experiences with fellow participants and trainers across Europe, gaining an understanding broader education in Europe.
It is intended:
- familiarization with the main growing trends related to entrepreneurship and leadership education;
- develop concrete learning activities and educational games to help students develop a true entrepreneurial mindset and assertive attitudes;
- learn to engage students and motivate them to develop their entrepreneurship and problem-solving skills, as well as their self-esteem;
- learn to lead and conduct experimental workshops, simulation activities and interactive projects to promote students' entrepreneurial mindset and leadership processes;
- know case studies in terms of entrepreneurship and leadership;
- exchanging good practices and discussing challenges with colleagues and course trainers;
- establish contacts with teachers and organizations working in the field of education in Europe through daily cooperation and networking activities;
- visit and establish a network of partnerships with Italian institutions.
The course takes into account the adaptation of working methods based on the needs, attitudes and professional profiles of the participants, in order to guarantee high productivity, effectiveness and transferability in practice.
The methodology is highly practical and participatory, with a practical approach that includes real work examples, case study analysis and simulations. Collaborative working methods are adopted that promote mutual learning and cooperation between participants. The focus is on learning outside the classroom in an interactive and international environment. Pedagogical methods are based on experiential learning, group and pair activities, learning by practice and exchange of best practices. Participants will work in groups, having the opportunity to learn from each other, as well as receiving feedback from fellow teachers, trainers and educators.
During the course, trainers will make extensive use of experimental and simulation activities that participants can include and organize in their classroom. Examples of effective teaching games and interactive projects will be presented during the course, thus equipping participants with a ready-to-use tool kit.
Networking and cooperation between participants will be supported and encouraged at each stage.
Optional social, networking and cultural activities will be carried out in order to give participants the opportunity to get to know Italy, as well as exchange good practices and establish bonds and professional cooperation.
