During the morning, we had the opportunity to get to know a little more of the artistic wealth that the city of Florence offers us at every step we take through its streets, squares and corners. This city, which inspired so many artists, continues today, certainly, to inspire those who visit it. It was with this “strength” that we approached the topic of emotional intelligence today.
It is a fact that the “idea” that the development of emotional intelligence can help us to understand how to act in the face of adversity and improve interpersonal deviations is not always accepted in the same way, and that this depends on the way we manage our thoughts, feelings and attitudes.
However, this is a skill that can be developed throughout our lifetime. For this, it is essential to know oneself and the other.
All because (I believe) what is intended is to achieve a balance between reason and emotion, maintaining healthier relationships and growing as a person.
And as Daniel Goleman says, “if you don't control how your emotional abilities, if you don't have self-awareness, if you're not able to control how your emotions and anxieties, if you can't have empathy and reversal, no matter how smart you are, you won't go much away!"
