The training course “Creativity for the future: promoting Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving in the classroom” started today in Bologna, Italy, in which teachers from Spain, Slovakia, Croatia, Austria, North Macedonia, Belgium and Portugal participate. .
This course aims to provide participants with different strategies, tools and ideas adapted to their needs and realities, in order to promote students' creativity and motivation, while at the same time sharing the practices and experiences of the different participants.
The first day of training started with the presentation of the objectives and methodology of the course, followed by some exercises to present the group, including the needs and expectations of the participants. The work continued, always in a very dynamic way, essentially in collaborative work, with various activities that led the group to know and reflect on the importance of developing and strengthening the so-called “21st century skills”. This was followed by a brief overview of creativity and critical thinking – key concepts and principles, with activities that helped to identify the main differences between the two types of thinking, “creative thinking” and “critical thinking”. ”.
The work ended with an individual activity that allowed the participants to show how they felt at the end of the first day of training.
