3rd Training - News Ways of Learning

  • Training organized by the OutDoorEd Training Center, between 12 and 17 of September 2021 in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic.

    Main objectives of the course:

    - develop interdisciplinary content based on "learning by doing" combined with "reflection on action"

    - experience methodologies that provoke and increase students' curiosity, learning in real world scenarios;

    - experience learning methods based on experience and sensory awareness as a way to develop students' creativity, motivation and curiosity;

    - learn to improve students' personal, social and emotional development;

    - discover new ways of learning from a cross-cultural perspective and share experiences and knowledge with other teachers from other countries;

    - understand how the outdoor environment can help to motivate and re-motivate children who do not thrive in the traditional classroom environment, such as those from disadvantaged backgrounds;

    - develop a personal activity plan - how to put new knowledge into action at home and how to support school development

    - meet colleagues of different nationalities in the EU, in order to engage in intercultural learning experiences, exchanging ideas and creating a network for future international cooperation;

    - improve communication skills, especially in foreign languages, expanding professional vocabulary and promoting the wide linguistic diversity of the EU.

    Course methodology:

    The main methods used will be through practical methodology, cooperative work, various activities and discussions. The content is thematic and interdisciplinary and is based on “learning by doing” combined with “reflection on action”. By experimenting with color, hand, head and outdoor activities, we learn to improve personal and social development, we develop creativity, motivation and curiosity.

    Positive atmosphere, exchange and fun are part of the process during the week. The course will take place mainly outdoors, close to nature, in both rural and urban landscapes, including excursions and visits to local schools.
