Il Capitano:

Pagliaccio triste (Pierot ):

"Il Magnifico" - the prototype of the "old men" of the Commedia dell'Arte,

the powerful and dangerous one, trying to maintain the old established hierarchical society (in later times: "splitting" into Pantalone and il Dottore, becoming less dangerous):

Zanni (the prototype of the not-so-clever servants)

Colombina (with a sweet and dominant side):

two witches (not part of the traditional Commedia dell'Arte, but introduced into the modern revival of this branch of theatre : the old and powerful woman from the country site, counterpart of the "old and powerful men" of the urban society: "il Magnifico", "Pantalone", "il Dottore") :
