"Establishing our Latin text book"

(1st short term exchange of students,

28th of January - 1st of February 2019 - Portogruaro / Venice)

Main topic of the first students exchange was starting our "European Latin book" which was meant to be one of the main results of our project.

18 students from Wilhelmshaven were welcomed by their Italian partners for one week.

Each school had already finished the first WebQuest ("Man and creation" with texts of different authors); now we met to discuss our results and to write and design in Italian-German groups the first pages of our book.

   Each exchange meeting, however, contained also an approach to culture of the region of the hosting partners. The task of the first meeting was to take pictures in a "subjective way": to show our personal impressions, emotions and attitude towards relics of ancient time.

We had the chance to do so durig educational trips to Basilica San Marco in Venice, enjoying the "lights of San Marco" in the empy church, and to Aquileia, now a small and calm rural town, but once one of the most important cities of the late Roman empire. So we took our cameras and mobile phones and experimented with different techniques  of photography.

But there were even more interesting activities and experiences during this face-to-face meeting.
