"Culture in a metropolitan city"

(3rd short term exchange of students,

16th of January - 20th of September 2020 - Hamburg / Wilhelmshaven)

Main topic of the third students exchange was experiencing cultural life in a metropolitan city. As both of our schools are situated in smaller towns this was new and exciting to us.

16 students from Wilhelmshaven and 18 students from Portogruaro met again for one week - half of the week in Hamburg, the other one in Wilhelmshaven.

    As usual, also this exchange meeting contained an approach to culture of the region of the hosting partners. The task of the third meeting was to experience culture with all senses and to bundle the impressions as podcasts. The motto for our project activities was "Hamburg - the sound of a (multi)cultural city".

  This meeting meant the beginning of part II of our project: The students had nearly finished their work on the WebQuests of part I. Now they were starting to create challenges for peers by their own. They decided to do this by means of the app Actionbound. The topics: "Musical heritage", "Cultural exchange in commerce", "Architecture" and "Meeting another religion".

We designed activities for our educational trip to Hamburg to sensitize for these topics and collaborative tasks to prepare for the following online colaboration for part II of our project.
