  • At 8.50 am we left from school to Kampenwand, one of the most famous mountains in Germany.

We arrived by bus in Aschau, which is a mountain village where you can take a cable car to climb up mount Kampenwand.

For some of our students, it was the very first time to take a ropeway, so they were both excited and curious.

The cable car ride covered a length of about 2,5 kilometres and it gave us the possibility to enjoy a magnificent view of the mountains and Alps  .... you can also see Lake Chiemsee and the Bavarian country from a different perspective.

After about 15 minutes we arrived at the summit station, which is 1,500 mt high.

    Also the sky was amazing.

On top of the mountain we found a lot of snow, and our students started to run after one another and play with snowballs.

After that our German colleagues convinced us to take a walk to the Cross ... it was not so easy (not all our students were used to walking on snow) but after some efforts we all reached the cross. It was worth it!!

Then, we had some rest at the "Sonnenalm", a typical mountain hut where we took delicious hot chocolate and cake.
