Impact of the project at EEEEK Kalamatas
The impact of the project is slightly different at a special needs school. These are the main impacts in EEEEK Kalamatas
Special needs students had the chance to socialise with students from other countries.
Students had the chance to meet/socialize with students with special needs and understand in more depth their everyday challenges.
The project had a mental impact on the special neeeds students.
The project highlighted the importance of All day/life long education - about all aspects of life esp on people with special needs and their caregivers and fellow students.
The Greek students got involved with topics like recycling, healthy eating and exercising: the school has added an hour a week to teach about recycling and collect any recyclable garbage, two days a week the students prepare a healthy meal usually fruit or vegetable salads and they share with everyone and finally once a month (due to covid restrictions) they do a 3km walk by the seaside.
