Year 5 attended an athletics competition at Gateshead Leisure Centre as part of The Gateshead School Sport Partnership.

When we arrived, the children were split into both boys and girls teams. There were track and field events that the children participated in. Some of the track events included; 1 + 1 lap relay, 4 X 1 lap relay and the obstacle relay. Some of the field events included; chest push, vertical jump and speed bounce.

We all tried our very best and never gave up!

At the end of the competition, the winners were announced. We came 6th place and ended with 132 points.
