Netiquette

October 2020: Working on the theme of Netiquette

Netiquette is a group of rules that determine the moral and accepted behavior among the users of the Internet. These rules are based on mutual respect and kindness amongst people and should be followed  in all forms of electronic communication: direct messages, e-mails, websites, social network pages, chat rooms and so on.

The principles behind Netiquette were presented to 6th Grade students by the ICT teacher. Students referred to their own experience when they communicate through the Internet with others. Through discussion, students realized that they had found themselves in an awkward situation in the past as a result of their (virtual) interlocutors not following the commonly accepted rules of Internet communication. Under the guidance of the ICT teacher, students did some quizzes.
