Living and Travelling in Europe
Jan. 2020 - March 2020
21 students (aged 11-13) and three teachers met weekly to learn about our partner schools and their countries. We also discussed travelling in general as well as "Europe" and the meaning of the European Union. We also practiced speaking English, focussing on everyday conversation. Also we practiced vocabulary and language functions that would be needed when visiting another school and staying in a host family.
By February it was clear which 4 students would travel to Sweden in March accompanied by three teachers. They kept meeting to prepare their trip. Those students also attended a workshop on eTwinning, learned about creating content, copyright issues and online safety in general.
The trip was cancelled due to the pandemic. We kept on meeting nonetheless until schools were closed on March 17.
