Visit from Spain!

Teachers* from Valencia to prepare the new Erasmus+ project at HGT

From 14 - 18 October 2019 a delegation of three teachers from our new partner school, IES Benlliure from Valencia, visited us. Besides getting to know each other, the planning of our joint Erasmus+ project on the Jakobsweg (Way of St. James) was in the foreground.

But first Mr. Harald Jacob from the Pedagogical Centre introduced German and Spanish teachers to the work with e-Twinning and TwinSpace in a workshop. These platforms, provided by Erasmus, provide a data protected space where project communication between Spanish and German pupils can take place. In the future, products and results on the subject from the lessons of the respective class levels will also be exchanged there.

The city tour, which Ms Rebmann's students of the Basic Spanish Course in Year 12 had planned for our visitors, was particularly popular with the Spaniards. Many thanks to the students for their special commitment!

How nice that our Spanish friends were able to participate in the Erasmus+ Kick-off event at the HGT - a lecture by Jörg Haag about his experiences on the Way of St. James. According to our Spanish experts, the paella and the Tarta de Santiago that were served tasted true to the original. A big praise for our chef Richard Spang!

The Erasmus+ AG at the HGT will start its work at the end of October and will face its first challenge - the production of a video "Welcome to the HGT", which should give our Spanish partners a first impression of our school. More about this soon at this point ...
