We joined #OutdoorClassroomDay on 20th May 2021 and it was great having our lesson outdoor. We created our school garden. Every pupil from Grade 6a planted his/her own flower. Here you can see some photos. Enjoy!

Next, we found English names of our flowers and we labeled them.

    Dear friends,

one of our Year 7 students, Szymon, prepared for you a presentation about most popular Polish National Parks. Hope you'll like it!

VISIT OF "NOWE ZOO POZNAŃ" AND "PALMIARNIA POZNAŃSKA"

We visited zoological garden in Poznań and The Palm House in Poznań on 29th October 2021. The weather was great on that day. It was sunny and warm.

During the visit in the zoo we took part in a lesson "Rescue to endangered species" surrounded by the animals in the zoo. While having a walk in the forest (where the zoo is situated) we could learn something about animals and observe them. Most of the species survived thanks to zoological gardens. Some of them are in danger of extinction. Population of other species are less and less numbered and they need protection as well. Normally, in this forest live wild animals like squirrels, boars, deers, foxes or ducks. We had a chance to see two running squirrels. After the visit we took a group photo and bought some souvenirs.

Later, we went for a walk in trees' heads.

Then, we went to the Palm House in Poznań. We had a great chance to see many species of plants and trees, which normally don't grow in Poland  (some of them can be kept as home plants but they're much smaller than those we've seen). We had possibility to see cola nuts, smell different kinds of orchids, touch flowers of cotton and taste palm sugar. We've also seen many species of fish and other sea animals. Traditionally, we took a group photo summarising the visit and we bought some plants and souvenirs.

Here's a presentation about this trip.

    HOUSE FOR INSECTS

In December 2021 a group of pupils from Grade 8 made a house for insects. They put parts of bricks, sticks, stones and cones in the house. In spring, we're going to place it in a school garden.
