INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY IN SLIAČ
This year we also celebrated International Mother Language Day in our school. Some of our pupils made a poster with some traditional Slovak words and others do some exercises concerned the literary and non-literary vocabulary.
Here are some of the traditional Slovak words in English:
ambréľ = umbrella
črpák = dipper
cencúľ = icicle
guľôčka = bead, small ball,
čučoriedka = blueberry
sôvä = a young of an owl
