OŠ "Despot Stefan Visoki" in Despotovac is responsible for Biology, Physics and Chemistry, so the Learning activity in Despotovac was focused on these subjects. Pupils were divided in international teams and participated in many activities:
Biology: Pupils participated in workshops at the Primary school Despot Stefan Visoki in Despotovac. All the experiments were prepared by the Serbian pupils and teachers. They also visited the Resava Cave, the Aquarium in Kragujevac, Zoo in Jagodina, Museum of Coal Mining in Senjski Rudnik and Natural History Museum in Svilajnac.
Physics: Pupils participated in workshops at the Primary school Despot Stefan Visoki in Despotovac. They did a lot of experiments.
Chemistry: Pupils participated in workshops at the Primary school Despot Stefan Visoki in Despotovac. They did a lot of experiments.
Pupils also learnt about Serbian culture and history. They visited the Cultural Centre in Despotovac and the library Resava School, watched the performance of folklore dances and songs. They also visited the Manasija Monastery, the Museum of Stevan Sinđelić in Grabovac and the Museum of Wax Figures in Jagodina. Our pupils also did some sports activities at school – they participated in funny sports games (we can call them “games without borders”) and they played volleyball. The participants of the learning activity were pupils and teachers of our four schools that participated in the project and also some members of the local community who prepared the activities and workshops for us (the employees of the Cultural Centre and library, of all the museums, Aquarium etc.). The mayor of Despotovac welcomed us for the learning activity in the Library Resava School in Despotovac. The communication language of the learning activity was English, so we used the CLIL method to learn all the content subjects. But we also used our native languages, so there were 5 languages spoken in this learning activity. We took many photos and recorded some videos that we want to use for creating the tutorials for teaching Physics, Biology and Chemistry in English (CLIL method). Pupils who participated in the learning activity will create presentations and videos about the activities that they learnt in Despotovac and they will share their new experiences with their schoolmates. The Slovak students also wrote their diaries for each day of the Learning activity and evaluations.
