The learning activity in Sliač was full of adventures, great learning opportunities and funny moments. The students from Mielżyn had lots of fun with the programme.

On December 9, 2019, our trip to Slovakia began. We were there for a week. The trip was possible thanks to the Erasmus+ project called "CLIL across borders - enjoy and learn". Eight people from our school, eight people from the Czech school, six people from the Slovak school and six people from the Serbian school took part in the learning activity in Sliač, Slovakia. We left at night. First we went by train to Warsaw, then to Cracow. There, we visited the most important and most beautiful sights and monuments. From Krakow we travelled by bus to Slovakia.
   When we arrived in Slovakia we checked in at the hotel and went to dinner. We came back to the hotel and went to sleep immediately - we were very tired.
   On Tuesday we went to breakfast at 7.30. Then we went to school and met with the rest of the project participants. We ate a snack at school and we presented our suggestions, arrangements, presentations and videos about our schools and cities. We also visited the school in Sliač. After visiting the school, we came to the hotel for lunch, and then we visited interesting and beautiful places in the beautiful town of Sliač. Finally, we met a traveller who told us in English about her trip to Iceland. Then we had time for ourselves and we went to dinner at the hotel.
   On Wednesday, we had breakfast at 6.30, and after that we went to school, where we had mathematics workshops and workshops related to folk accessories and art. During the workshops, we played a game called "Jeopardy" and "Financial Odyssey". After our workshops, we ate a quick snack. We visited the most important and most beautiful places in the city of Banská Bystrica. After sightseeing, we ate dinner in a restaurant. Then we went to the village of Špania Dolina and we were at the Józef Mistrík historical school, where we could feel the spirit of history sitting on 370-year-old benches and learned how to write with a feather and ink. Then we returned to the hotel, we had free time and had dinner.
   On Thursday, we started breakfast at 6.30, then went to school for a workshop. We ate a snack and drove to the city of Žiar nad Hronom. We were in the regional observatory of Maximilian Hell and watched films about planets, the moon and space. Then we went to the city of Zvolen and ate lunch there. We drove to the village of Kováčová and we were in the aquapark "Holiday Park Kováčová''. There were slides and pools, but there was also an unusual outdoor pool - there were hot thermal springs. After the pool we had dinner at the hotel.
   On Friday we had breakfast at 6.30, and then we went to school for workshops related to the day of Saint Lucia. We observed and made lots of beautfiul decorations and folk accessories. We went to the hotel for lunch, and then we had a summary of the workshop at school. We had a moment of free time and we went to the meetingl at the school assembly hall, where the students of the school in Sliač showed their talents in the school talent show. The school organized a Christmas market - there were various cakes, drinks, cabbage soup and Christmas decorations made by the students from Sliač. Then we went to dinner at the hotel, and later returned to school for a disco organized for us.
   On Saturday, the last day of our trip to Slovakia, breakfast was at 6.30, and then we went to school and made posters summarizing all workshops, adventures and trips. We summarized our visit and presented our posters in front of others. We went to the hotel for a gala dinner and handing out certificates.  Next, we went by train to visit the church inscribed on the UNESCO list. Then we went by train to the "Europa" shopping center, where we had free time for our small expenses and dinner. When we arrived, we had free time at the hotel.
   On Sunday, the day of our departure, we went to breakfast at 7.00, and then we cleaned our rooms and packed. At 8.00 we left the hotel. By bus we went to Cracow and ate lunch, then with a slight delay of the train, we went to Poznań and then to Gniezno. Our parents picked us up at the station and we returned to homes full of impressions and emotions after a successful project trip.

   The trip was a great idea and fun for us. We loved it and it would be amazing to take part in it one more time :)
