WORLD OUTDOOR CLASSROOM DAY IN SLIAČ

We also took part in the worldwide activity The Outdoor Classroom day. We joined the almost 11 million children who, like us, learnt outside in nature, in the schoolyard, in the school garden, in the park, in the square, ... in short, out of class. Although the weather was not perfect, it did not discourage our children :) Pupils learnt a variety of school subjects outside: Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Music and Art, Homeland study, German, Basics of Science or Traffic Education. They had a lot of fun.

MATHEMATICS

What will it be us for? Classic student question :) Well, for example, so that you can draw a garden plan - albeit in the beginning the plan of the ours. Measure, calculate the circumference, the area, draw to scale ... it is all Math in practice. And besides, we learn to work in a team, to solve problematic situations, to be creative.

20th May 2021

We joined #OutdoorClassroomDay on 20th May 2021 and it was great having our lesson outdoor.

We created our school garden. Every pupil from Grade 6a planted his/her own flower. Here you can see some photos. Enjoy! 

4th October 2021

We joined #OutdoorClassroomDay on 4th October 2021, too. The weather was great on that day. It was sunny and warm. Pupils from Grade 7a enjoyed having their English lesson outdoor. During the lesson they described themselves, their interests and habits.

19th May 2022

We joined #OutdoorClassroomDay on 19th May 2022. The weather was amazing on that day. It was sunny and hot. During the English lessons pupils from Grades 4-8 did the quiz "How much do you know about Poland?". They had to look for the questions and answer them. The questions were "hidden" in school playground. Pupils from Grades 1-3 revised English vocabulary by playing games such as "The Colours", "Hopscotch" or "Skipping Rope". They were also looking for insects which live in bushes and trees near our school.
