We have had a very good trip to Portugal. It was very fascinating to meet the students from the different cultures. We also found it very exciting to visit the school and see how different that it was from our own school. Everyone was very sweet and took good care of us, so it was a great experience.
A thing that we think could make the experince even better at the school, is if the students had more groupwork and that the students were more active and we had more influence on what kind of work we would be doing. But in general we had such a good time here. We are definitely coming back to Portugal some day:)

Julia and Martyna, student from Poland

    Giovanna, teacher from Italy

Even if we were not in Portugal with the other colleagues and students, I'd like to say that our online partecipation to the Debate was very motivating for my students. They were very excited to meet the others and to take part to the discussion about human rights. It was nice !

    Liceo scientifico Elio Vittorini, Naples-Italy

Our online partecipation to the Debate

Teresa, Francesca and Alessandro -students from Italy

Although we participated online, as soon as we started the debate we had the opportunity to show each other our ideas and all of our thoughts about this current topic. As a result, It has been a thrilling experience with which practise our English and make ourselves feel truly heard during the debate. We hope to have the opportunity to have this experience off-screen and meet a lot of beautiful people from all Europe with the chance to share ideas with them.

    Renata, teacher from Poland

That's a pity we weren't able to welcome all the partners in Poland but we don't regret. It was so great to meet the teachers and students from Denmark and Serbia and Portugal. Exciting experience and unforgettable views. Thank hosting AESAndre very much.

    João, student from Portugal

It was amazing to have them here, I had experiences that I hope to repeat and I can't wait to go to Poland and meet these fantastic people again.

    Tiago Teixeira, Portugal

I loved all of them! Better than I was expecting, they were very nice, amd I loved the experience with the deaf serbian students. I hope we could meet again the next year in Poland, love and care to all. God bless you!

Maria Inês, Maria Guerra, Daniel and Sabina, Portugal and Serbia

Therefore, the group found this experience incredible, as there was the possibility of communicating with different people, possessing different languages and different cultures, and in this case even with deaf people. The activities we liked the most were the walks, more specifically going to primary school, and what we thought could be improved would be the fact that there was a preparation regarding the learning of sign language, so that there was better communication. But without a doubt it was an incredible experience.

Daniela, Flavio and Vittorio - students from Italy

Unfortunately, due to current covid restrictions still in place in Italy, we were not able to participate in the debate as we would have liked.
Despite this, however, in our small way and through a remote connection, we tried to keep alive the spirit of the project, based on the mutual exchange of ideas, listening and comparison.
We hope to meet all the other students as soon as possible to get to know each other better and learn English while having fun

    Daniela, Teacher from Italy

We weren't allowed to leave for Portugal because of pandemic, nevertheless we were very happy to meet our colleagues and the other students online. The virtual mobility was so exciting and motivating for our students. They prepared the debate and the discussion was really interesting, it took almost an hour. At the end they were required to write a report on their experience.

Laura, Giulia and Giusy, students from Italy

Last march us italian students from Liceo Elio Vittorini, had a meeting with our colleagues from Portugal and discussed whether the figure of Robin Hood was a hero or a villain.
The main observation to make regarding this topic, is that we must take a new point of view in order to understand how the main character of this heroic story, is actually a villain. Analysing is useful for better interpreting our childhood characters and to develop a critical spirit.
Our debate had the main aim to teach us how to think on our own and make statements that lead to a proper analysis of facts, leading of course to a personal growth.

Federica, Aldo, Flavia, students from Italy

Some time ago, we took part in our first debate: the goal was to discuss the role played by Robin Hood, whether he was a hero or a villain.
Our class had to find a way to prove that he was undoubtedly nothing more than a mere criminal and we all had to write our own speech.
It was a unique experience, something new that allowed us to improve our language and communication skills, expecially when we had a real opponent in front of us.
It has been quite challenging to organise our thoughts about the topic, but it was definitely worth it.
