April to June 21 | Oct. to Dec. 21 Oct. to Dec. 21 | A)Bookmarkers The World of Diversity In all partner schools, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) will be worked on. Pupils from all ages, using different tools and techniques, will create bookmarkers with the 30 articles of the UDHR. To foster active citizenship, the best markers will be chosen (class vote) and sent to other partner schools by post. In each school there will be a mural on which the huge variety of bookmarkers will be displayed. This will open minds to the diversity of human beings around the World and to the fact that that many people are discriminated because of being “different”. B)Song to Unite Nations Younger pupils will search for songs with an important role in their country’s Path to Freedom. In their music classes they will sing the songs and films will be made. They will write a short explanation of the importance of that song. Films, audios, lyrics and explanations will be posted on TS. Secondary students will translate everything into English (TS). Before the meeting in Poland students should try to learn the songs from all countries. C)Films for DemEUcracy Secondary pupils will work on a film based on real stories of people who were victims of discrimination (LGBT rights, women’s right to vote, racial discrimination and disabilities). Students meet online (eTwinning) to choose the film to work on in line with the needs to be addressed at their schools. They have to present arguments to defend their choice. Students will watch the film and, in class, they will create a handout with activities and think about a topic for discussion. Materials will be shared on TS. Students from all countries watch the 5 films to know the topics to be debated in Poland. D) Polish students will prepare a bilingual leaflet with Polish language for the language workshop and bilingual VOKI. | | |
