Ongoing learning process
from studying to sharing & interacting and
creating to working towards collaborative results
Sharing
Researching Project topics-Study material, the students surf the Net, find material they consider relevant to the project topic they are working on, and share it in the TwinSpace in the form of text, images and videos so that their project partners have also access to it.
They also share the knowledge they acquire from online and onsite meetings with experts from Finland and Greece.
After researching & studying the topics, the students draw or write down the main points of what they have learnt and share newly acquired knowledge in order to assimilate it more effectively. More specifically, they share what they have learnt about renewable sources of energy.
Interacting
Besides sharing, students also interact with their partners. They are given opportunities to communicate about topics of interest either asynchronously (in the Forums Games & interaction, voting for and discussing the project logo, or interacting on the Project Journal about activities, on each other's walls or through the TwinMail or synchronously at the Final Online Meeting when, despite the difficulties posed by the school closures due to COVID- 19, they meet online and discuss their findings and newly acquired knowledge. They test the knowledge they acquired throughout the project by playing an environmental game of Kahoot the project teachers have built working asynchronously and synchronously using all the resources contributed to the Project topics - Study material. The results of the students' interaction are:
the Project Logo
the "Renewed world after COVID-19?" padlet wall
Climate Change Glossary-spreadsheet
Collaborating
The students respond to the stimuli by creating works of art that include dramatization, drawings, sketches & posters, 3D designing & printing, digital works with web 2.0 tools, traditional craftwork (bookmarks, collages, artistic food or wood creations).
In addition, they make the most out of the 3D printing equipment of one of the partner schools by co-designing and printing Christmas ornaments (Christmas STEM) and fashion accessories (Fashion STEM). To be exact, they work
synchronously to teach & learn 3D designing at a partners' online workshop (3D design process) and
asynchronously on a series of collaborative products such as
3D printed designs for Christmas
3D printed fashion designs
