ECOLOGY AND SUSTAINABILITY (an interdisciplinary aproach)
Our 5th graders are developing a project, “There is not planet B” which we are going to resume in the next points:
+ Reading the unit three (Human action in the nature).
+ #Fridays for future: what is FridaysForFuture

+ Break for the future: creation of banners with recycled products, drafting of a manifest to read during the event, collection of the garbage generated during the lessons break and classification of that garbage to calculate how much garbage is generated at our school break.
+ EUROTOUR PROJECT: activity that continues the one started with COME project and focused this year on the ecological reality of each EU country. Every 4-students group study a EU country showing: National Parks and relevant natural spaces, main environmental problems of the country, measures of care of the nature that are carried out in that country, social actions that seek to reduce the consumption of goods in each country. They will show the results in posters, which will be presented in a exhibition. (SUSPENDED DUE TO COVID19 CRISIS)
Our 11th French graders are carrying out different activities to see if our cities are really ecological and want to make everyone aware that there are still a lot of things to do. In order to introduce this topic, a trip to the historic centre was made, during which a small questionnaire on the difference had to be answered.
After analyzing the results and reflecting on the situation, the students have prepared posters that will try to show what is happening in the world because of climate change, people who are very committed to safeguarding the environment at a global level, and what we should know about the waste we found dumped in cities and rural areas.
- 9th Geography students are working in a cooperative group within this project. Each group has four sessions, spread over four weeks, in which they must solve a challenge. Once resolved, they should explain it to their mates in some space of the classroom or city, using different media: theatre, digital presentations, workshops, performance,…
- The 11th grade Industrial Technology students are studying water management in different cities of Spain and the world: Santiago, Venice, Madrid…
Besides, they are making bioplastics, facilitating their recycling process.
- The 10th grade English students have done the Listenning activity about a Greta Thurnberg video speech.
