WATER RESOURCES IN GALICIA

The work consists of an analysis of the water resources of the area with the aim of making a small local guide specifying which water-related places we could visit. 

The first task to develop such a guide on water resources was to locate water-related elements. 

Starting from this list: 

• Natural spaces to enjoy nature: rivers, lakes, water reservoirs, waterfalls, estuaries, sea... 

• Water as a resource: hydroelectric power stations, fishing or shellfish areas, fountains, wells, springs... 

• Water quality: sewage treatment plants, contaminated areas, recovered areas... 

• Water and leisure spaces: water sports areas, spas…

Step by step 

Locate in our environment all the elements related to water and make a list with them, without forgetting to say where they are. 

You can use the following resources: 

• Take advantage of the tours in your area to locate them. In this case you can take pictures. 

• Search the Internet, books or press. 

• Interview relatives and neighbors. 

By pairs, each pair was assigned several resources from the list we drew up. The next step was to search for information on the Internet and make a table with the name, location, description and other data of interest.

The final task of the project is the creation of the guide in which you collect the information of the water resources that we collect (BOOK EDITION).
