"Kuyucaklı Yusuf" is a novel written by Sabahattin Ali. It is a bitterly realistic novel about the social environment. The writer used half ambiguous metaphors in order to imply the oppression of the state and the upper classes on the lower classes.

The journey of an immigrant is an autobiographical novel written in Kefalari, Drama, in memory of the author's parents, Giorikas and Fotini.
The author deals with Greek immigration in the 1960s, after the devastating World War II and the Stone Age that followed the devastating Civil War. He describes the problems of adapting the Greek worker to foreign society, his illusory dreams, as well as his performance as an industrial worker. Finally, the author presents Germany and the general behavior of the post-war German towards the Greek immigrant.
