Vendi:Hi guys! Our mission is waste sorting in Slovenia's school! What do you think?

Konstantina: Sounds like a good idea.

Ivana: I think that plastic should be moved from schools and other places because it is not good for the enviroment.

Antonis: Yeah! We need to find ways to get rid of school waste with the least negative effects on the environment.

Boris:That's why we aren't going to use an incinerator! We'll firstly seperate them in different clearly labelled bins...

Konstantina:...and then we'll reuse, recycle or compost them!

Ivana:It is important not to put recyclable stuff among other trash. But even if these are collected in the same container we still need to sort these from garbage, food scraps, etc.

Antonis:I read somewhere that if batteries or appliances are mixed with packaging and printed paper recyclables, none of the materials can be recycled properly.

Ivana: It's the same with garbage and food waste! These can also spoil the recyclability of materials! .

Vendi: What do you think of collecting all these tips and then prepare a brochure for our peers in Slovenia?

Konstantina: Oh! You mean a "Know how to sort your waste properly" guide?

Alperen: Yes! We could search for these acts in school's library, all together...

    Nuria: Great! Let's go!!

    In the library:

Neza: Guys listen to this! Leftovers could be sent to local farmers, be sterilised and being fed to the animals!

Nuria:Neza, this is great! Keep note!

Konstantina: Wow! Used oils and fats can be collected by companies able to re-use them!

    Neza:I knew that, Konstantina!

Antonis: The point remains Neza, is that sort out waste that has been mixed is not only technically very difficult, but more expensive as well, and leads to less competitive recycling

Ivana:So, sorting out waste at the source thus allows to improve the quality of the material that is recycled, Antonis

Margaux:Right, Ivana! In other words, our peers have to implement specific bins and skips for each type of waste flow.

Boris:Great Margaux! In this way,the more waste is collected separately, the easier the treatment in each branch
