ALESSANDRA :Hi guys, let's start our mission. I’m your butterfly and I have the capacity to respond to a perturbation or disturbance by resisting damage and recovering quickly.

FRANCESCO :I was thinking what we could propose to change at  IIS school.

GLORIA How can we understand if the school air is pollution-free?

CHIARA M: I would like to create a very colorful small garden with the help of tulips, iris, narcissus and violets.....and very welcoming with the recycling of wooden boxes, iron bins or wooden table by building benches and tables.

CATERINA: Couldn't agree more! Strict measures have to be taken. Let's lead this "campaign".

CHIARA C :We could build a wooden fence and put in a series of plants, which butterflies feed on nectar and at the same time put some where these insects can lay their eggs. what do you think?

ALESSIA P Planting an area that attracts butterflies would not only bring more benefits to the school but would help the eco system. Even carrots attract butterflies and we can eat them as a snack!

GLORIA: Guys We have to get to work! Good job for everyone

DAMIEN C We have to start first to be example to others. I think we can do great things if we work together and hope they will follow us

CATERINA : We know that the plants that attract butterflies are: the yellow alyssum, the lantana, the lavender, the thyme, the rismarino and the valerian. So 12 kids have to buy one of these plants in order to plant two of each. Instead the other 9 kids take care of the materials for the construction of the fence in which we then sow these seedlings.

GLORIA : Half of the class can take care of the garden, making it colorful, the other half making it public and welcoming.Good job for everyone.
