Talos Junior High School (11th GYMNASIO HARAKLION) was established in 1985 and is a state high school. It is an urban school situated in the ‘Karavola’ District, in the north part of Heraklion Crete and along the main seaside road. Our current philosophy is to provide learning programmes that are challenging and appropriate to the present and future needs of our children – Skills for Success. The school recognizes its responsibilities to meet the learning requirements of all children including those with special learning needs and within its general teaching programmes. Talos school is widely regarded as a school that is providing a good quality education for all its students. The students participate in a range of interesting learning activities that are frequently linked to their own lives and the local community. The school is located in a developing area and the vast majority of the students come from countries other than Greece.
