OCTOBER 2015: TASK 8 - MATHS & PE

  • In the eighth task students focused on doing research during their Physical Education classes.

Basically, they had to do a set of exercises which involved:

    1. Balancing on one leg (how long).

    2. Running 50m (best time).

    3. Hopping 50m (best time) (NO putting foot down).

    4. How many shots thrown in one minute (netball/basketball).

    5. How many times to bounce a football in one minute.

While doing them, they had to measure the time and then collect all the data in tables. Finally, they had top prepare a presentation with photos to summarise the task. You can watch the presentations below:

    TASK 8 IN POLAND:

We had a great time doing Maths & PE. We laughed a lot doing balancing, running, hopping, throwing and bouncing the ball and there was a bit of rivalry as we competed against one another. Our PE teachers helped us organise the competition and supervised our measurements.
