SEPTEMBER 2015: TASK 7 - MATHS IN SCHOOL RESEARCH

  • In September 2015 we started another series of "Maths Is Everywhere!" activities with TASK 7 - MATHS IN SCHOOL RESEARCH.

    This time students were asked to do research at school. They could choose the subjects of their surveys and composed the questionnaires. After that, they asked their classmates to complete the surveys and had to analise the results.

    The final products include reports summarising the stages, results and analysis of the conducted research.

    "Maths In School Research" helped students practise a lot of skills while organising the surveys and doing the calculations which included pair and group work, communicative and linguistic skills as well as mathematical and IT competitions. It seems a lot of questionnaires referred to the typical things teenagers are fond of i.e. favourite models of mobile phones, car makes, films, music genres, singers and bands, people they like most, sweets and days of the week.
