MAY-JUNE 2015: TASK 6 - MATHS & GAMES

  • The last task completed in the school year 2014/2015 was "Maths and Games". Students were asked to come up with their own ideas of mathematical games, puzzles and rebuses. In this way, they were given another chance to see that you can learn Maths in a fun way, that it doesn't always have to mean hard work and difficult tasks.

    TASK 6 IN POLAND:

In Poland the mathematical tasks prepared by students were collected and used for a game for the youngest students. "The mathematical treasure hunt" was organised as a part of the school celebreation of the Children's Day and the participants were recruited from the kindergarten, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades of our primary school. The students from junior high school supported their younger schoolmates, though the little ones turned out to be very brave and willing players - they quickly solved the puzzles and found the hiddent sweet treasure!

The game took place on the school playground.

Every group had a leading team who threw the dice and drew the tasks.

There were also children acting as counters - thy moved around the playground following dice numbers.

In the end the participants posed for a group photo :)
