1. PROJECT
This project was carried out with students from 2ºESO and was supervised by their English teachers: Delia Borrego and María Martín.
The goal of this project was for students to get to know those Spanish figures than are behind the street names of the town they live in. Some of these famous Spaniards were painters, architects, sailors, writers, or belonged to the crown. The amount of information they have been working with was huge; so another objective was to be able to analyse all the data out there on the internet and select the relevant one for their own purposes.
Our intention is to share what we have been learning about our heritage with students from other countries and let them have an approach to our monuments and historical characters.
2. FINAL PRODUCT
- Creation of online timelines wih biographical details of some Spaniards behind the names of Boadilla´s street names
- Power Point presentations of famous Spanish figures: painters, architects, kings,..
- Creation of Kahoot games with the common topic of Famous Spaniards who inspired the names of our town streets
3. PROCESS
STEPS WE HAVE FOLLOWED
STEP 1. LET´S GET TO WORK!
Our students were first asked to look at the map of Boadilla and find names of streets named after historical figures. Once they had done that, they chose a famous Spaniard and searched for information related to him/her. In addition, one of the groups focused on the architect our school is named after, Ventura-Rodriguez, and all those18th -century historical figures that were relevant to his life and work.
STEP 2: CREATING TIMELINES
Students created timelines of the different characters chosen, all of them related to Boadilla, its palace, the church and the convent.

STEP 3: PRESENTING THEIR MATERIALS
After all their hard work, students took their timelines and ppt presentations to school and used them to talk to their classmates about the different biographies they had prepared. They also had to be prepared to answer to all the questions asked.
STEP 4: CREATE A KAHOOT
Students also created questionnaires about what they had just learnt through the app Kahoot.it
5) SHARING
The last step is to share it with students from other countries and see how much they know about the characters we have been studying.
We have also had a different approach to the palace of Infante Don Luis and this is the result!
4. OBJECTIVES

- Produce short written texts with accurate grammar and using the necessary linkers and connectors.
