This project was developed to let pupils from Holyrood practise their Spanish writing skills and send correspondance to pupils in Spain. Pupils from S2 wrote postcards about themselves (name, age, where they live, interests) and also included information about a Scottish celebrity. The celebrities chosen were from the fields of:

- The arts
- Sport 
- Music
- Film
- Politics

Pupils also researched about their celebrity and wrote facts about them in English. This way, Spanish pupils – especially those in the bilingual classes at IES – could translate more complicated pieces of text and use this as an exercise to improve their reading skills.

The pupils enjoyed this project and were keen to provide information and pictures about Scotland for their Spanish peers.  The postcards were showcased at the IES Ventura Rodríguez E-twinning event and the IES pupils made videos where they responded to the postcards in English.
