Main objectives of the course:
- Understand the advantages and disadvantages of approaches such as inclusion, integration and mainstreaming in order to improve the good quality of education and training for all students;
- Know techniques for working with heterogeneous classes and communities to address the growing diversity of students and support the inclusion of various minorities in mainstream education;
- Create ready-to-use materials and methods to improve educational practices in the field of special education for children and to promote universal access to education regarding non-discriminatory values;
- Identify risk factors and different types of barriers, improve primary, selective and indicated prevention, increase synergies between education, research and innovative intervention activities;
- Increase broader understanding of strategies and systems that deal with children with special educational needs in different countries, cultivating mutual respect and intercultural awareness;
- Supporting continuing professional development by improving core competencies to build confidence in the promotion of teaching methods that support children with special educational needs and social and cultural diversity;
- Meet colleagues of different nationalities within the EU, promoting cross-cultural learning experiences, exchanging ideas and building a network for future international cooperation;
- Enriching communication skills, improving foreign language skills, broadening professional vocabulary and promoting the broad linguistic diversity of the EU to incorporate common values for education and training.
