Final report Cinzia Maietti

  • I participated only in humanities classes and I found that the use of methodologies and tools is not so much different from the Italian school .

    The differences consist in that :

    1 ) The lecture has a somewhat secondary role ;

    2 ) the lesson always starts from a topic assigned and  studied at home by one or more pupils ;

    3 ) constant presence of teamwork or in pairs  in the second part of the lesson .

    Therefore methods are :

    lesson participatory construction set of concept maps , group work and pair work .

    The tools : PC , text book that belongs to the school , whiteboard ..Non exist notebooks and pens !

    Teachers have a role of coordinators , let students talk a lot , do not correct ( that means perhaps that the correction is not always constructive ? ) , Does not recall ever .

    The pupils are disciplined , have a very strong sense of duty.

    It is focusing on self-regulation of the student .Il climate is very relaxed and quiet : no screams .

    If the Danish school looks different from the Italian it is also and above all because different are buildings more comfortable , spacious , more attentive to relax .

    Danish students enjoy ample space to eat, with bars , games , sofas and verandas ; They have a music classroom where they can download  tensions during the three 30-minute intervals. Two times a week all meet in the auditorium where they sing and are invited to express their thoughts and present their works.

    With regard to the evaluation , this is not a very felt problem by teachers.

    Tests are administered periodically and there is no question of our correspondent .

     The final assessment is made through common tests and the same for everyone , ( a kind of INVALSI ? )

    Bye
