    Our school is always proud of it`s athletes and organized sports activities. Despite the summer holidays our students continue to practice different sports. As one of the most popular sports is biathlon. This summer was held "Cesis Award" contest in summer biathlon in Cesis. Our students: Anastasia Ņedaivodina and Kristaps Deksnis who in their age groups won 1st place, Emil Pometuns - 3rd place, Alexander Kuznetsov - 5th. In Latvian championship in summer biathlon, which took place in Madona 24 and September 25, our young athletes succeeded: Christopher Deksnis - 1st and 2nd place, Emil Pometuns - 2nd and 3rd place, Anastasia Ņedaivodina - two 4th places, Alexander Kuznetsov - two 5th places, Robert Mining - 10th and 12th place.

    At the beginning of the school year, September 23, our school students from pre-school to 12th forms, teachers and school staff took part in Latvian Olimpic day. A variety of sporting activities were choosen according to the age which were contributed by the 12th grade students along with the 8 th grade girls, who led the exercises.

    This year the 3rd class students and teacher Līga participating in the Latvian Olympic Committee (LOC) organized project “whole class do sport". Overall, the project involves 2,861 participants representing 103 educational institutions, 124 classes from 56 Latvian regions and cities.

     Since our school offers an educational program in national defence a tradition has already become "Military sports day, or Military Race". This school year, it was held in November. Teams of all classes took part through various tests - shooting, grenade throwing, fire setting relay race with obstacles and victim relocation and assistance.

    Students participate in both regional and school volleyball, basketball and football tournaments, athletic competitions. Latvia is organized Latvian youth winter Olympics in which our team of students from 128 teams ranked in 18 place. * Alexander Kuznetsov biathlon 1st place (gold medal) * Anastasia Ņedaivodinai biathlon 2nd place (silver medal) * Deksne Kristaps Biathlon 4th place * Emile Pometunam cross-country skiing 6th place * Christer Must snowboarding 8th place.
