After school meetings

Every year our school tries to find ways to collect an amount of money in order to support students facing economical problems. Within this effort our project team organized an after school activity where students, parents and teachers cooked together a variety of traditional goods.

Since our school is both lyceum and Technical school we were supported in this effort by the Hotel business department. In this activity we included mostly the high risk students and their families.

Students, parents and teachers were gathered one afternoon and working all together they prepared traditional biscuits, pies etc.

Spending time on cooking at school gave the opportunity to all of the participants to interact with each other in a friendlier environment. Especially parents were very pleased and proud watching their kids to be so active and creative for such a good cause. Furthermore, the students felt happy, useful and proud of themselves for their offer.

The products prepared in this activity were sold to parents and teachers and the money we collect were given to students’ family who needed that kind of support.
