Accademia d'Alta Moda Koefia (Koefia International Fashion Academy) Activity

An extremely interesting activity was the visit to the Accademia d'Alta Moda Koefia (Koefia International Fashion Academy).

Koefia Academy is a historical haute couture house, established in 1913, which offers undergraduate, postgraduate and executive courses in fashion design (project, tailoring, modelling, etc.). The courses are strongly oriented to the practical aspects of the profession.

As they say, "the aim of the Academy's teaching is to train young stylist with a strong project-design identity, provided by a critical sense and a high technical/practical level of preparation". At the end of the training, the students present a dress within the Altaroma Altamoda fashion show and participates in many other shows in Italy and abroad.

As everybody knows, fashion is probably the "diamond point" of the Italian entrepreneurship. Therefore this is probably one of the best places many students should take into account for their future careers.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity of watching real fashion designer at work and of seeing all the different steps in the process of creating a haute couture dress.

However, the most interesting part of the visit was the meeting with the students of the Academy, who explained what they did there, what opportunities of work they can have, the pros and cons of their activity there.
