On Tuesday 27th we left Manresa and we went to Girona city. Girona is in the north-east of Spain, and is bordered by France, and the provinces of Barcelona and Lleida. Girona has a beautiful Historic Jewish quarter that is easy to see on foot. There are lots of museums there, and the buildings are all of stone, and squashed down narrow cobbled streets.
In Girona we visited the old city center, the Jewish quarter and we went for a walk through the city wall. We visited the campus of the University of Girona located in the old center and there the Senior Teacher of Catalan Philology Degree gave us a guided study visit by the University campus, showing us the cloister, the library and he explained the diverse university degrees offers, the activities in which the university participated, and the different professional outings.
After lunch the students did a gymkhana around Girona to know the most important monuments, streets and places by using Instagram mobile app, from the well-known Girona cathedral to the small street in the Jewish quarter were Arya from the Game of Thrones TV series run for her life.
Once the students finished the activities we went back to Manresa.

We were able to visit the FC Barcelona stadium, from outside, and then we saw Casa Batlló, Casa Milà and La Sagrada Família, all buildings by Antoni Gaudí. We jumped off the bus and walked in the streets of the Gothic Quarter and finally we went to Montjuïc and we saw Barcelona from its highest natural point.
After lunch, we had a lecture about entrepreneurship in CaixaForum. They explained the process by which new ideas and products are created and we did some practical activities in groups in order to put into practice everything they had explained.

The Escolania of Montserrat, which belongs to the Monastery of Montserrat, is one of the oldest boys choirs in Europe. Records show that the Escolania has existed as a religious and musical institution since the 14th century. It is composed of more than fifty boys, from ages nine to fourteen, originating from various towns in Catalonia, the Balearic Islands, and the Valencian community.
