ENTERPRENEURSHIP LECTURE

Marc Fernandez, consultor, trainer and businessman gave us a lecture on entrepreneurship.

Firstly he introduced the concept to the students. What is entrepreneurship and what objectives does it have?

Secondly, he outlined the major lines of entrepreneurship and identified the three main aspects, problem solution, the needs and the opportunities,

He explained the case of a boy that had to solve a problem in his household economy. After looking at different solutions and using creativity, he found a solutions that could benefit not only his family, but also the community.

He then talked about the needs, in this case he speaks of WhatsApp and how the creator started from a need he saw in society and this leads to a business idea that becomes very successful.

Finally, the speaker talked about opportunities and how people that can read about the opportunities on the market can create products that can become very successful businesses.

So entrepreneurship is the sum of opportunities, needs and resolution of conflicts. It can be a the sum of different factors and the people that are able to read about those factors, can create the products that can become successful but also that in some cases, aren’t.

The trainer insisted in explaining that you do not always get your results immediately and usually experience is a factor that adds to the process.
