  • CAMPEONES

    Campeones is a dramatic comedy of 2018 directed by Javier Fesser. The movie was released on April 6, 2018. The sound track was made by Rafael Arnau that the most important song was "Este es el momento” (This one is the moment), it was composed and sung by Coque Malla.

    This movie was inspired in the history of a basketball team Aderes Burjassot formed by people with intellectual disabilities that they won a lot of Spanish championships from 1999 to 2014.

    The plot of this film is that Marco suffers numerous professional and personal problems, after his dismissal as trainer of a basketball team and, in condition of drunkenness, he suffers a traffic accident that leads him a serious fine. Marco will have to choose between 2 years of jail or 90 days of community service training a basketball team  called “Friends ", it is integrated by sportsmen with diverse disabilities. In the first moment, this news will not be accepted well by the protagonist, but after, he will realise how much he could learn from these people. Finally, Marco realises that the important thing was not to be a coach of a good team, but of a united team from which he could learn that sport is not just about winning.

    The first week the film was released it got an estimated revenue of 1.977.994 euros and exceeded 250.000 spectators. "Campeones" is considered the best premiere of a Spanish production from "Tadeo Jones 2: The secret of the king Midas ", in August, 2017. The movie has been seen up to the date by 3.272.677 spectators.

    The film was awarded with important prizes such as Feroz in 2019 to the best comedy and two times in the prizes Goya, as best movie and best revelation actor with disability. He gave a speech where he left all the spectators sensitive and aroused, because he explained how important is to give this prize to a disabled person saying literally " three words come to my head: integration, diversity and visibility”.

     

    LA FAMILLE BELIER

    La famille Bélier is a comedy movie directed by Eric Lartigau, released in 2014. The main actress is Louane Emera, a famous French singer; she won The Voice in 2012 and won two Cesar’s prices as the woman revelation of the years (2015) and as the best young feminine hope (2015). Karin Viard and François Damien played in this film. 

    Paula Bélier is the only one in her family who is not deaf and dumb. At 16, she is happy to act as an interpreter between her parents and the suppliers of their dairy farm, the customers who buy their cheese at the market, and the rest of the world. But the balance of the Bélier is threatened. She's an indispensable interpreter for her whole family, helping them in their work and everyday life, when it comes to answering the phone, dealing with the banker or translating a doctor's consultation. At high school, the singing teacher, Mr. Thomasson, identified Paula as an exceptional talent, which he encouraged her to perfect in preparation for a competition organized by Radio-France, with a scholarship to a Parisian school. Unable to admit her desire to leave her parents and little brother, Paula is confronted with her parents' misunderstanding, her doubts about her musical vocation, her duty towards her family, the teenager justified her absences from the farm to rehearse, with a fictional love affair with Gabriel, another talented student of Mr. Thomasson's. However, Paula's growing neglect of her father, who needs his help to run for mayor of their village, is causing tension that is getting more acute every day.

    The movie was very successful in France. This film received 4 awards and 8 nominations. For example, at the 40th César Awards ceremony in 2015, it had 5 nominations and one award and it also had 1 nomination at the European film award. This was a huge success. However some people think they should have chosen real deaf people and not people who can speak and hear.
