Travelling to San Sebastián de los Reyes - Spain

  • Practical information to travel to San Sebastián de los Reyes:

    1. If you fly to Adolfo-Suárez Airport-Barajas, you have all the information in English (EN) and in Spanish (ES).

    3. When arriving at the airport, go to the metro station, follow the METRO pannels or ask the  information counter for taking the metro to Nuevos Ministerios station.
    4. Buy preferably a Tourist Travel Pass Zone T and ask for a free map of the Metro.

    5. At Nuevos Ministerios station take the CERCANÍAS (EN) suburban train to Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes station (Zone B2). Take a free map of the train network.

    6. Before boarding the train check the screen to make sure you will get on the right train. Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes should be displayed on it.


    ​​​​​​​    A cheaper way to reach Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes station is to only use the CERCANIAS by going from Adolfo-Suárez Airport-Barajas to Chamartin station and change train for Alcobendas-San Sebastián de los Reyes station (C4A).    ​

     

    Practical information for visiting San Sebastián de los Reyes (ES) and its surroundings: 

    • For visiting the center of the city of Madrid use the public transport pass and the METRO app for the public transport network.
    • For visiting the surroundings use the public transport pass and the CERCANIAS app for Android or the CERCANIAS app for IOS for the public transport network. The public transport pass for the METRO is different from the public transport pass for the CERCANIAS, except for a Tourist Travel Pass Zone T.
    • Check regularly the CERCANIAS website for information such as strikes that might cancel or reduce the traffic, free public transport in case of pollution peaks...​
