LONG TERM MOBILITY

  • LONG TERM MOBILITY

12 students from Finland, Poland and Spain enjoyed an exchange of two months thanks to the Long Term Mobility that our project organized.

The main objective was to develop the students´ knowledge about different European cultures and languages and to help them in their personal development. We also aimed to improve the cooperation between our schools and prepare the basis for long term collaboration. We wanted to give the students an opportunity to take part in the Finnish, Polish or Spanish school and family life and improve their English language skills.

Learning a foreign language was the first aim. Finnish, Polish or Spanish were difficult languages to learn but they managed to learn it on a basic level. English was the biggest improvement of this experience.

The pupils improved also their academic achievements by their attendance to lessons like: Languages, P.E, Maths, Chemistry, ... They had the opportunity of choosing other subjects according to their interests and motivations (other languages: Portuguese, German, Russian; Other sports: volleyball, basketball etc; Other subjects: e.g sciences).

Some compulsory subjects in their own curriculum, students studied independently during the stay. Some of these studies (courses) had already begun in their countries and students finished them in the host country by writing esseys, doing  project works or exam and also learning by recorded lessons or remotely through the virtual platforms (ex. moddle).

Also students liked joining in other school activities f.ex. in sports, music, dance and drama. There was the possibility of participation in some school trips to different places around the country, as well as taking part in other projects and clubs: school choir, school orchestra and scientific clubs,...

To be in a different country and environment without their own family was also practising to independency: meeting new people, adapting to life of the host family and a different school.

The students also worked in the activities of the Erasmus + Project: Women as Spiritus Movens towards equality in the European Citizenship. They did three Project Activities: 1. European Curriculum, 2. Folk Science and 3. Looking for heroines.

They told us about their experience in different blogs. See how this long term mobility was able to make true the motto of Erasmus+:

    CHANGING LIVES. OPENING MINDS
