M.5. PROJECT MEETING AND WORKSHOP IN ITALY
From 24th to 30th April 2016, the fifth international meeting and workshop was held in Gubbio (Italy).
During this project meeting, students and teachers participated in the following project activities:
A.12. “Through the eyes of a woman”:
This is a personal approach to history, bringing history to life. Students from different countries have researched important events in the European History of the 20th century. They have decided which of these events were the most meaningful. They have conducted interviews with different women in their own countries, women who have somehow experienced these events. During the international project workshop meeting in Italy, multinational teams of students have learnt how to edit a documentary film and they have created it. The premiere of the film was organized by the Italian partners during the European event held in their school.
This product has exceed our expectations. Students and teachers got emocional while watching the documentary, not only because of the profesionalism gained and showed from students, but from the live experience of these women who contributed to the European History of the 20th century.
A.13. Sports and Art preventing gender violence: Students have investigated the topic and filled in an international chart about figures of gender violence in each country and measures taken by the national governments. They presented they researches using an online tool called PADLET. Basing on that information, students have looked for proposal to solve this huge problem in the European society. Those solutions were shown using sports and arts. They draw a draft of the idea they want to show. This draft was printed in a A·3 collage format. From that draft students prepared a performance, using only body language and music, without words – a flash moob. PE teachers helped them to prepare physical and choreographic movements. During the international project workshop meeting in Italy, the flash moob was created, rehearsed and shown by all interantional students with the help of some specialist teachers from the Art section of G.Mazzatinti Lyceum.
A.14. Young writers on the road : “Looking for the happiness formula” IIt is an e-novel written by students in which each national team write a chapter. The plot is continued from one country to another. This activity was carried on through the whole project and a new chapter was read in this international workshop meeting in Italy.
